Jakarta Regional Disaster Mitigation Agency (BPBD) announces the inundation caused by intense rain yesterday and today that hit 36 neighborhoods and three streets spread over Jakarta has receded since noon, Wednesday (3/15).
Jakarta BPBD Head, Isnawa Adji said light to heavy rain which poured in most areas of Jakarta and its surrounding on Wednesday (3/15) caused several sluice gates in 3 alert status, namely Manggarai, Karet, and Angke Hulu, as well as inundation at several points.

He explained the BPBD has deployed personnel to monitor inundation conditions in each area and is coordinating with the SDA Agency, Bina Marga Agency, and Fire and Rescue Agency (Gulkarmat) to suck up the inundation.
"Also ensuring storm drain functions well together with the local urban village and sub-district heads. We're targeting the targeted inundation to recede quickly," he explained.
